Job Title: Manager - Quotations

Summary: Oversee processes in the quotations department including managing direct reports and providing a large scope of project quotations in accordance with specifications and deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure smooth operation of quotations department. Develop lighting and controls quotations/bids in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review and assign all incoming bid requests in accordance with project deadlines and skills and workload of the team.
- Administer strategies and detailed plans for Quotations personnel to achieve or exceed sales goals. Update leadership with assessment of sales performance (quarterly, at minimum), to include recommended adjustments to plan.
- Assist leadership with establishing realistic and attainable sales goals.
- Review Quotes personnel performance at regular intervals. Monitor the Quotes team activities to make sure that each one is maximizing their time with activities that ultimately generate sales.
- Lead Quotes team to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in the marketplace. Motivate the Quotes personnel to be goal oriented and driven to exceed their sales goals.
- Educate and train Quotations personnel, continually building industry, market, and product knowledge.
- Handle administrative functions of the Quotes team: expenses, quotes activity, account assignment, and performance reviews.
- Travel to trainings, special events, and trade shows as requested throughout assigned territory.
- Build and maintain relationships with Customers, Manufacturers, and Sales Reps to communicate and determine budgetary strategies.
- Provide leadership and management to direct reports.
- Develop standards, training needs, growth opportunities, annual objectives, and performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Manage and improve customer response times, quote lead times, quotation accuracy and internal efficiencies.
- Oversee all quotations projects.
- Handle escalation, when necessary, provide solutions to issues and problems to ensure company’s policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensure consistency of competitive and profitable pricing.
- Provide direct reports with accurate performance information and coaching as needed.
- Understand product lines we represent as well as others to ensure strategic and accurate proposals.

- Extensive general knowledge of the Lighting Industry.

- Experience in providing answers that require the ability to understand technical information and details. *
- Technical aptitude to include the ability to read blueprints, schematics and reading a lighting schedule is a major plus. *
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical drawings.
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Visual design software, and AGILE proprietary project management software.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
